For as long as I can remember, postcards have been part of my creative life.
I grew up with family postcards tucked into drawers and boxes — small rectangles of adventure, humor, and everyday poetry. Later, as a traveler and artist, postcards became my favorite ritual: a way to pause, notice, sketch, and share a moment before it slipped into memory.
On my creative retreats, postcards are always part of our days — a quiet reflection at a café table, a note written in a garden, a sketch made in the morning light. They are simple, tactile, human. They help us see.
This Post Office is my way of keeping that ritual alive — a place where creativity can still arrive by post.
Postcard Studio Hour is a relaxed, welcoming creative hour where we slow down, make something small, and reconnect with our creativity — together.
In each session, we’ll focus on one postcard template (provided for download) and explore simple, approachable ways to bring it to life using color, watercolor washes, inky lines, or collage. I’ll share the story behind the postcard, offer a small creative prompt, and guide you step by step — no pressure, no perfection required.
You’ll arrive with a printed template and leave with a finished (or happily in-progress) postcard, ready to put in the mail or keep on your desk as a reminder that you can do this.
This online studio hour will be held on Zoom and is a space to chat, connect, relax, and enjoy a little creative escape from everyday life.
