A Paris Atelier is an immersive creative experience centered on one landmark, neighborhood, cultural tradition, or artistic theme.
Together, we might trace the creative revolution of Montmartre, explore the French art of living in the Luxembourg Gardens, study the colors and rituals of a neighborhood market, or uncover the engineering and imagination behind the Eiffel Tower.
As we walk, observe, and talk, you will gather stories, details, colors, words, and visual inspiration in a custom printed journal. Guided prompts and shared collage materials help you transform what you notice into a finished creative keepsake.
No previous art experience is needed. The emphasis is not on drawing perfectly—it is on becoming curious, looking closely, and making a personal connection with Paris.

This fall, join me for three new in-person experiences designed to reveal a different side of Paris through art, culture, history, and creative observation.
Each atelier has its own theme and rhythm. Some focus on a neighborhood, others on a garden, market, monument, or cultural tradition—but every experience invites you to notice more deeply and create a meaningful record of what you discover.

Paris Ateliers are typically offered on Friday mornings or Saturdays and range from approximately 60 minutes to 2.5 hours, depending on the theme and format.
Because groups are intentionally small, advance registration is recommended.
New dates may be added throughout the season. Email me to receive early notice when additional ateliers open.
The current Paris Atelier series grows from years of creative gatherings, themed meetups, sketchbook sessions, and cultural explorations I have hosted in Paris.
These earlier experiences helped shape the approach I use today: begin with a place or theme, uncover its stories, look closely, make something by hand, and share the experience with others.

A Paris Atelier is a small-group creative experience that combines art, storytelling, culture, and exploration in one of my favorite Paris neighborhoods.
Rather than simply visiting famous landmarks, we'll slow down, notice the details, learn about the history and culture of the area, and create together through sketching, journaling, collage, or other creative activities.
Not at all. Paris Ateliers are designed for curious travelers and creative beginners as well as experienced artists. The activities are approachable, guided, and focused on observation and personal expression rather than technical perfection.
Each participant receives a custom printed creative journal connected to the atelier theme. Depending on the experience, you may sketch, write, collect details, add color, collage, and reflect. You will leave with a finished or well-developed keepsake of the experience.
Bring comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a small bag for your journal. Basic creative materials and shared collage supplies are provided. Specific details will be included in your confirmation email.
My Paris Ateliers (in person) include printed materials, creative handouts and collage materials for each student. Small art supply kits are also provided for use during each atelier including pen, color pencils, water brush and small watercolor set.
If you have your preferred art materials you like to use, feel free to bring them. Each event page clearly lists what's included and what to bring.
Walking varies by atelier. Some experiences remain focused around one monument, garden, museum, or small area, while neighborhood ateliers may involve more movement. Each registration page will include the approximate distance, pace, and accessibility notes.
Ateliers range from approximately 60 minutes to 2.5 hours. The length depends on the theme, walking route, creative activities, and whether dedicated collage or short break time is included.
Each atelier has a specific meeting point in Paris. Full directions, arrival instructions, and contact information will be sent after registration.
Many ateliers will continue in light rain, and Paris often becomes especially atmospheric in changing weather. Depending on the atelier, and where possible, we may continue find a sheltered/covered location or adjust the activities to accommodate the weather. Any significant changes will be communicated before the event.
The exact cancellation and rescheduling policy should appear on each registration page and in the booking confirmation. I recommend keeping the hub answer brief and linking to the full policy.
Absolutely! Since atelier sizes are intentionally kept small, each participant must register separately.
Many guests enjoy attending with a friend or family member. The experience becomes a lasting memory of their time in Paris!
The ateliers are primarily designed for adults. Older teens may be welcome with an accompanying adult, depending on the theme and format. Age guidance should be listed on each individual registration page.
Yes. The ateliers are led in English, with French cultural context, vocabulary, and local details woven into the experience when relevant.
Private experiences for friends, families, and small groups are planned for the future. Visitors can join the private experience interest list to receive updates.
Your registration includes the guided Paris experience, cultural storytelling, creative instruction, printed journal, prompts, shared collage materials, and other theme-specific resources. Longer ateliers may also include a refreshment.
