FRI 23 OCT • 11h-1h30 (Paris Time) Step into the color, character, and conversation of everyday Paris. We will explore market stalls, neighborhood shops, hand-lettered signs, seasonal displays, local traditions, and the small visual details that make Parisian streets feel alive. Small-group creative experience · No art experience needed · Materials included

WHY DOES EVERYDAY LIFE FEEL DIFFERENT IN PARIS?

Maybe it's the morning trip to the boulangerie. The florist arranging flowers on the sidewalk. A handwritten sign in the fromagerie. Neighbors greeting one another. Choosing tonight's dinner at the market. Walking instead of driving. Stopping instead of rushing.

Visitors often search for Paris in its monuments. But much of the city's character lives somewhere far more ordinary:

in the rituals of the neighborhood.

During this 2.5-hour creative walking atelier, we'll explore one of Paris's classic rues commerçantes and discover how neighborhood shops, artisan traditions, public spaces, and daily rituals shape Parisian life.

Beginning near Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, we'll wander up Rue des Martyrs, looking beyond storefronts to discover boulangeries, pâtisseries, fromageries, florists, cafés, typography, packaging, craftsmanship, street life, and the relationships that make a neighborhood work.

We'll finish at the Marché d'Anvers, where so many threads of everyday Paris—food, seasonality, conversation, ritual, and community—come together.

Along the way, you'll work inside a custom-designed pocket creative journal, sketching, observing, gathering words and colors, and responding to simple creative prompts.

This isn't a shopping tour. It isn't a food tour. And it isn't a traditional art class. It's an invitation to experience everyday Paris creatively.

MEET YOUR CREATIVE GUIDE

Bonjour, I'm Betsy.

I'm an artist, author, educator, and creative guide living between Paris and San Francisco. My Wanderlust Designer ateliers combine art, culture, history, storytelling, and hands-on exploration to help you experience places more deeply.

I believe some of the best travel memories don't come from famous sights. They come from the tiny things you suddenly notice when you stop hurrying.

A shop sign.
A conversation.
A beautiful package.
A market basket.
A café chair.
A ritual you'd never thought about before.

I'll bring the stories, creative prompts, journal, materials, and encouragement. Paris will give us plenty to notice.

COME FIND THE PARIS BETWEEN THE MONUMENTS

Walk a neighborhood. Peek into shop windows. Notice the rituals. Meet the artisans through their craft. Watch everyday Paris unfold. And turn what you discover into a creative story that's completely your own.
