Join me for an online art class where we learn how to watercolor whimsical birds and blossoms. Follow along at your own pace to guided videos that will teach you how to draw basic birds and then watercolor a blooming branch filled with color.

Class Summary

Spring is in the air. The trees are blooming and the birds are chirping! Let’s celebrate the change in season and learn how to watercolor colorful, whimsical birds and blossoms.

This class includes step by step videos that you can follow along at your own pace to teach you how to create easy, approachable and fun ways to watercolor birds on a blooming tree branch. We will first practice drawing simple shapes to create our whimsical birds. Following we will watercolor several tree branches filled with our colorful birds. Finally, we will learn how to add pen marks for additional playfulness. Once complete, we will have a colorful illustration we can frame to welcome the season blooming out the window.

Art Supply List

To create the art in this class, you will need the following supplies:

1 roughly 9"x12" watercolor paper
1 scrap piece of paper to practice drawing bird shapes
watercolor set
brush or water brush to paint watercolors
black (waterproof) pen (like Micron)
white gel pen

Paint Birds and Blossoms
