Inspired by Nature: The Meaning of Flowers

Join me in this art class where we will learn about floriography, a practice of communicating through flowers and arrangements to others that has been used for thousands of years. We will learn the definition and paint a handful of colorful flowers, that we will cut out and use to create our own paper bouquets that we can arrange and place on our desk or dresser depending on our mood of the day!

Class Summary

In this class we will learn the meaning of 7 different, common flowers and follow along with each video to learn how to draw them. We will also learn also how to draw a decorative vase.

Once complete, we will take all our individual flowers and vase and put them together to make a paper bouquet we can rearrange depending on our mood and the meaning we want to convey.

Class Goal

By the end of the class you will not only be well versed in drawing and watercoloring a variety of flowers but also will have gained hidden knowledge about flowers you can take with you as you explore the world around you, whether at home or traveling!
