Having worked in some type of creative capacity for over 35 years, I can now say emphatically that I am doing exactly what I was meant to do - my dream job, focusing on the things that matter most to me... COMMUNITY + CREATIVITY & ART + TEACHING + TRAVELING + HISTORY + CURIOSITY.

I began offering wanderlust-inspired sketchbook workshops over 6 years ago. I immensily enjoyed the experience, yet was still engrossed in writing/illustrating several books, and engaged in licensing my artwork. It wasn't until those strange pandemic years, when I began to offer free weekly online art classes with a wanderlust focus that the light bulb went off in my head.

I love sharing creativity, art, travel and history with PEOPLE. I love inspiring curiosity & sparking creativity. I love community. As soon as lock down was over, I knew this is where I needed to focus.

Since this time, I have had the pleasure of leading over a dozen creative tours and workshops throughout the US, and internationally in France and Morocco. I've truly found my calling and can not wait to share the creative experiences with you.

What is a Creative Tour or Workshop and Who Should Attend?

My creative tours & workshops are for anyone looking to explore their world through a new creative lens - open up their curiosity about a location and use all their senses to discover the details around them.

Betsy's approachable teaching style will guide you through an exciting itinerary of cultural tours & creative adventures, from on-the-go experiences wandering with your sketchbook in hand, to relaxing in an art space with a spread of supplies ready to use.

My experiences emphasize touring a variety of locations to get a sense of the rich culture and history of the location, and also provide creative moments where we can journal, sketch, write, photograph, and collage our adventures.

You will dabble in it all and come away with not only travel tales & new friendships yet also an inspirational creative travel journal of your adventures and a new way to explore your everyday!

No art experience is necessary to enjoy our journaling and creative activities. The goal is to rekindle that creative feeling we experience when exploring a location. We will scribble, write notes, paste pictures and capture doodles in our own personal journals - leaving with a souvenir to last a lifetime.
