A Philosophy Rooted in Wonder
At the heart of Wanderlust Designer is a simple practice — one that guides everything I create, teach, and share:
✨ Explore your world with creativity.✨
It doesn’t matter whether I’m in Paris, walking the hills of San Francisco, or wandering my neighborhood — creativity begins with noticing.
The Rhythm of Creative Exploration
My own creative routine follows this
Notice → Create/Capture → Reflect → Share
Just a pause. A moment to observe, then capture however simply you can - a thought of reflection, a word, a doodle, a photo. Then a little reflection.... what creative energy did that tiny moment provide? This way of seeing turns any moment into a creative one. It’s a practice you can adopt anywhere — at home, in a café, on a walk, or while traveling.
🎨 A Tiny Practice for Today
Wherever you are, you can adopt this creative practice too.
Have your first creative exploration moment today:
Wherever you may be today, at the store, on a trip, at work, at home, just take a moment to explore with curiosity...
Walk down an aisle in the store and find a food item you've never seen before...
Find a random kitchen item - a ladle, a strainer - and think about it's design or function just for a second more...
Split off for just a moment in the opposite direction of where you need to go just to see what's around the corner...
Now, pause and quickly create or capture your thoughts in that moment. A photo, a word or two, a doodle. How did that mini-exploration make you feel? Did you notice something different? The more frequent you do this, the sooner you will see a pattern appear -- a quick moment of exploration opens up a world of creativity.
